We are hiring!  CPBC is looking for a Communications Coordinator.

 
 
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all church communications including phone calls, the church website, our church smartphone app, all church social media networks, and worship materials.  This position will also coordinate any special projects assigned by the ministry staff.  Please send your resume and cover letter to cpbccareers@gmail.com.

The Communications Coordinator will work with the Ministerial Staff to plan and promote all church events.  This person will be encouraged to think creatively in order to enhance the quality, creativity, and frequency of communication coming from the church about important events and information.  The Communications Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Pastor.   This position is 15 hours a week with a pay of $15.40 per hour.    Responsibilities shall include, but not limited to

  1. Create and oversee distribution of all communications coming from the church office. This includes regular documents such as the worship bulletin, weekly newsletter, church prayer list, member directories, and more, as well as other materials as directed by the Senior Pastor. 
  2. All church social media networks and posting frequently on these sites about the events and activities of the church.
  3. Maintain the church smartphone app and think creatively about how to expand its functionality and reach within the congregation.
  4. Answer phone calls, respond to physical mail, church emails, and greet visitors to the church office.
  5. Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings.
  6. Other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor

Qualifications

  • Must be a Christian who is willing to take on necessary tasks to provide quality communication for the Church.
  • Graduation from a two or four-year accredited institution is preferred or experience commensurate with the position
  • Comfort and experience with social media networks is required
  • Excellent time management, delegation, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative on small and large projects and adapt quickly to new ideas, programs and responsibilities
